Reconnect with movement that supports your body.

reHealth Clinical Pilates

Support for movement, recovery and confidence

Clinical Pilates combines guided movement, strength and stability exercises to support recovery, mobility and overall function. Unlike traditional Pilates classes, sessions are tailored to your body, goals and movement needs.

At reHealth, our Clinical Pilates programs are designed and supervised by qualified practitioners, including physiotherapists, osteopaths and exercise physiologists. Whether you’re recovering from injury, managing pain or looking to improve strength and movement confidence, we work with you to create a program that feels supportive, achievable and personalised.

We offer both one-on-one and group sessions across our Doreen and Balwyn North locations, including Mums and Bubs Pilates classes.

reHealth Clinical Pilates

Your care, redefined

Clinical Pilates is a full-body workout that focuses on improving strength, control, flexibility and movement awareness through guided exercise. It may be prescribed by your physiotherapist, osteopath or myotherapist as part of a treatment plan, or used as a standalone modality.

Programs are tailored to your body, movement ability and goals, whether you’re returning from injury, rebuilding confidence or looking for ongoing movement support.
Where appropriate, your practitioner may also use assessment tools (such as real-time ultrasound imaging) to help support movement awareness and muscle activation during rehabilitation.

Your first session focuses on understanding your movement, symptoms, goals and exercise history.

Your practitioner will assess your strength, mobility and movement patterns to help guide your program.

We develop a tailored Pilates program based on your needs, whether your focus is rehabilitation, strength, mobility or movement confidence.

Progress

You’ll work through guided exercises with ongoing support and progression as we aim to improve your strength, control and confidence over time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Clinical Pilates may help improve strength, mobility, poor posture, core stability, balance and movement confidence through guided, individualised exercise programs tailored to your body and goals.

Many people use it as part of their rehabilitation after surgery or injury, or as a gentle way of returning to exercise after pregnancy. Plus, Clinical Pilates is ideal for injury prevention and general fitness, so keeping it in your routine may help you avoid injury.

Depending on your needs and goals, we may recommend an initial assessment to help tailor your program appropriately. If you’re unsure whether an assessment may be beneficial, contact our helpful team for guidance.
Traditional Pilates is a general form of exercise that is aimed at improving flexibility, strength and overall fitness. Clinical Pilates, on the other hand, is guided by qualified practitioners and tailored to your individual needs, symptoms and goals.
These classes are designed specifically to support postnatal recovery, strength and movement in a supportive environment where babies are welcome. These sessions also allow you to bond with your baby and connect with other new mums. reHealth offers small group classes, with a maximum of 4 mums per class.
Your first appointment includes baseline testing to assess symmetry and functional movement patterns, along with a full history of injury, exercise habits and goals.
Your instructor will introduce you to the reformer and guide you through exercises tailored to your assessment results. Home exercises will also be taught and prescribed where appropriate.
Individual programs are run under supervision in groups of no more than four. Programs are reviewed and refreshed every 6 to 12 sessions based on your progress.
We review your medical history, injury history and goals, then compare your current strength and movement against your original baseline results.
Comfortable clothes and socks. We stock grip-sole Pilates socks available to purchase at the clinic. A drink bottle and gym towel are optional.

We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you’re unable to attend your session, so we can offer your place to someone on our waiting list. Please note that cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed sessions, will incur the usual session fee.

Studio open hours and pricing
