Children & Paediatric Care

Supporting young people and their families

Kids are always on the go. Whether they're playing footy on the weekend, dancing at training, or just racing around the backyard, their bodies are working hard.

Sometimes that means injuries, growing pains, or movement concerns that need a little support. And sometimes it’s about making sure they’re developing well and staying active as they grow.

At reHealth, we work with children and teenagers at every stage, from babies through to elite junior athletes. Whether your child has a specific diagnosis, a niggling injury, or you simply want them assessed, we’re here to help.

Children & Paediatric Care

What our highly skilled team supports

Young people, including children, with good health and well-being tend to become adults with good health and well-being. This is why it's so important to work with experienced paediatric physiotherapists who truly care.

Our experienced team tailors treatment plans to each child. Above all, we focus on gentle care that doesn’t force them in any way. As their parent or guardian, you also have a say in the types of treatment methods we use or don’t use.

Depending on their needs and concerns, these may include physiotherapy, osteopathy, chiropractic, myotherapy, podiatry, psychology, exercise physiology, rehabilitation gym, or other advanced services.

Questions about our approach to children's health

Yes. Whether your child plays weekend sport for fun or competes at a higher level, we work with young athletes of all ages. We can help with acute injuries like sprains and strains, as well as ongoing concerns like growing pains, overuse injuries and movement issues that may be affecting their performance or enjoyment of sport.

If something doesn’t feel right, it’s worth getting it checked. The earlier we can assess what’s going on, the better placed we are to support your child’s recovery and keep them doing what they love.

There’s no one ‘rule’ or type of pain that brings people to our clinic. If you notice anything about your child that doesn’t feel quite right, or they complain of pain during physical activity or at rest, we recommend an assessment. Some signs it may be worth a visit include:

  • Concerns with movement, balance or coordination
  • Concerns about their posture or alignment
  • Growing pains
  • Sports injuries
  • Tongue ties and lip ties
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Chronic pain
  • Musculoskeletal conditions

We also work with babies, particularly if they have had a difficult birth, are unsettled, or are having difficulty with tummy time, rolling or crawling.

Absolutely! We work with people of all ages, and our children’s allied health services are designed for babies through to older teenagers. Treatment options will vary depending on their age, developmental milestones and other factors, and we’ll always discuss these with you before getting started.
Yes, we do. You may start with your general practitioner and they may give you a Medicare health care plan and a referral to us, or you can visit us first. We accept private health insurance and also work with children with NDIS plans.
