Knee, leg and foot

When every step is painful, you don’t have to push through it alone.

Knee, Leg & Foot

Revisit what your body is telling you

Our feet and lower limbs take on a lot. Every time we walk, run or stand for long periods, we place demands on our muscles, joints and connective tissue that can add up over time.

Issues may develop for many reasons, such as a sports injury, a misstep on a morning run, overuse at work, or a condition that’s been present for some time.

Whatever’s going on, our experienced team is here to support you. At reHealth, we take your concerns seriously and work alongside you to understand your needs and build a personalised path forward.

What your treatment
may look like

We work with people of all ages, from children and teenage athletes through to adults managing chronic conditions and older Australians wanting to stay active.

Your practitioner will take the time to understand what’s going on, look at the full picture, and connect you with the right members of our team.

For knee and leg concerns, your care may involve physiotherapy, myotherapy, exercise physiology or osteopathy. For knee, leg, foot and ankle concerns, your care may involve physiotherapy, myotherapy, exercise physiology, osteopathy, chiropractic care or podiatry depending on your symptoms and goals. Because we take a whole body approach, treatment is tailored to the individual, with practitioners working together where needed to support the best outcome.

For persistent pain, we may also draw on advanced treatments like shockwave therapy or high-powered laser therapy.

Podiatry

Our experienced podiatrists assess how your feet and movement patterns may be contributing to your symptoms, offering tailored foot care for patients across all age groups.

Physiotherapy

Using hands-on techniques and manual therapy, our physiotherapists work with you in an effort to understand what's behind your knee, leg or foot concern.

Osteopathy

Osteopathic treatment takes a whole body view. Your osteopath will look at how your hips, pelvis and spine may be placing strain on your lower limbs.

Chiropractic

Focused on the joints of the knee, ankle, and foot, our chiropractors work on easing discomfort and supporting your day-to-day movement.

Myotherapy

Myotherapy may target muscle tension through the calves, hamstrings and surrounding tissue with hands-on techniques such as soft tissue massage and more.

Exercise physiology

Our exercise physiologists design tailored programs aimed at building strength and stability in the legs, knees and feet.

Clinical Pilates

Supervised movement and targeted exercise may help improve lower limb strength, balance and control.

Rehabilitation gym

We work alongside you using personalised programs and rehabilitation exercises designed to help rebuild strength and confidence in how you move.

Advanced services

For persistent lower limb concerns, we use advanced techniques that may help ease discomfort and support your recovery.

Common knee, leg and foot questions

Morton’s neuroma is a condition that causes pain, burning or numbness between the toes. It occurs when tissue around a nerve thickens and becomes irritated.
Yes. The way your feet sit and move can affect how the load is distributed through your legs and knees. This may put additional pressure and strain on your lower limbs, causing pain.
Footwear plays a significant role in how load is distributed through your feet, ankles, knees and hips. With a thorough assessment, we’ll help determine whether your footwear may be contributing to your discomfort and discuss what might work better for you.
Poor posture can place additional strain on your feet, ankles and knees over time. This is something we look at carefully, because addressing the cause, not just the problem area, is what leads to better care.
Orthotics are one of the tools our fully qualified podiatrists may use to help address the way load is distributed through your feet and lower limbs.
If your pain is severe, came on suddenly, is accompanied by swelling, or you’re unable to bear weight, it may be time to seek support. For ongoing or recurring pain, early assessment is generally worthwhile.
That’s exactly what your first appointment is for. We’ll assess what’s going on, talk through your concerns and work with you to find the right approach, whether that’s podiatry, physiotherapy, myotherapy or something else entirely.
We welcome family members of all ages through our doors. From children taking their first steps to older adults looking to stay active, we’re here to support your whole family across every stage of life.
We have two clinics, one in Doreen and one in Balwyn North. Whether you’re local to the Doreen community or based further south, we’re conveniently located to help you access the care you need.
