Pushing through pain? It’s time to reassess
Dealing a niggling injury that won't settle, pain that's starting to affect your work or sport, or something you've been putting off for a while? Getting on top of it sooner usually makes a real difference.
Men’s Health
Common men's health conditions
Too often, men delay seeking medical care more often than women. From sports injuries to erectile dysfunction, mobility issues and pain, many men push problems aside until they can't handle them anymore.
We’d love to see this change. Delaying medical care tends to lead to poorer health outcomes, like getting diagnosed later, which means you may be in pain for longer than you should.
Whether you’ve hurt your back, have a sudden illness or a prior injury has flared up, this isn’t a time to soldier on. We believe every aspect of men’s health should be accessible, and we want to help our community by providing care for:
- Back, neck and shoulder pain
- Sports and activity injuries
- Workplace injuries and overuse strains
- Joint pain and arthritis
- Pelvic floor and continence concerns
- Mental health and wellbeing
- Preventative care
- Strength training or mobility improvement
- And many more conditions

Questions about men's health management
Can exercise really help with my health concerns?
Exercise plays a big role in both mental and physical health. Generally, any exercise is better than none, but the way you exercise and how often should be tailored to you. Tailored exercise plans mean you’re less likely to overdo it or work out incorrectly, both of which may hurt you or even make health concerns worse.
Whether you choose to work with a physiotherapist, osteopath, exercise physiologist or another professional, making a commitment to your health starts with taking one step forward.
Is Pilates available to men?
Yes. Clinical Pilates is for everyone, and it’s particularly well suited to men managing injury, building core strength or looking to move better.
Guided by our practitioners and tailored to your body, Clinical Pilates may help improve strength, balance, endurance and flexibility. A stronger core supports your whole body, which can be especially useful if you’re recovering from injury, managing back pain, or simply want to stay active for longer.
What are the most common injuries that men experience?
How may osteopathy help men?
Osteopathy is a holistic approach to hands-on care. This means it takes your whole body and well-being into account, instead of looking at one area that hurts and working on that area.
What you may think of as lower back pain may actually be coming from your neck or somewhere else in your body. Osteopathy aims to figure out where pain starts and how we may be able to address it.
You’ll start with a consultation appointment, where one of our practitioners will talk with you about your medical history and what you’re hoping to gain from osteopathy. For some people, this is managing pain, while for others it’s about reducing overall muscle tension, improving mobility or supporting their long-term well-being.
